Hexagonal Boron Nitride Powder SHOBN™
About the product
SHOBN™ / UHP is white-colored, high-purity hexagonal boron nitride crystallized powder, which has the same type of layer structure as graphite and provides a very good lubrication/mold-release characteristic. While graphite is highly active, easily reacts with metals/oxides and has electrical conductivity, boron nitride has electrical insulation as well as chemical/thermal stability, and is stable up to approximately 3000°C in the inert atmosphere.
SHOBN™ / UHP-G1H is aggregated powder of normal boron nitride crystals, which is excellent in fluidity and filling density. It is used in wide areas as with UHP, meeting customer needs.
Characteristics
| High thermal stability | Stable up to approximately 3000°C in the inert atmosphere. |
| High corrosion resistance | Stable against most organic solvents and corrosive chemicals, and unwettable by most molten metals and glasses. |
| High electrical characteristics | Has high electrical insulation and voltage resistance at high temperature and no changes in permittivity and dielectric loss up to high-frequency area. |
| Lubricity and mold-release efficiency | Friction coefficient does not change up to considerably high temperature in nitrogen atomosphere, which enables use up to approximately 950°C in the air. |
| High thermal conductivity and high heat radiation | High thermal conductivity and high heat radiation can be applied to various kind of heat radiators. |
Application
- Various resin and rubber additives
- Filler for insulation and high thermal conductivity
- Use for high temperature lubrication
