Resonac Europe GmbH (“REU”) was established in Germany in January 2023 as the European base of Resonac Corporation, through the integration of two Japanese chemical companies, Showa Denko and Showa Denko Materials (formerly Hitachi Chemical). REU conducts sales and marketing activities across the EMEA region. As a regional headquarters in the region, REU has also built a robust management structure to support strict corporate governance and business growth for all the subsidiaries across the region.

Under the Resonac group’s purpose of “Change society through the power of chemistry,” we, as a functional chemical manufacturer, are committed to creating functions relevant to today’s world and contributing to the development of a sustainable global society. Our product-lineup ranges from basic materials such as organic and inorganic materials, fine gases and SiC epitaxial wafers to applied products such as semiconductors and materials for electronic substrates. We provide innovative solutions across diverse fields including electronics, automotive and energy.

REU serves as an important hub to expand European innovation globally by leveraging these products and technologies. Equipped with both flexibility and speed to meet regional needs, we accelerate value creation for the global market through co-creation with local partners. Furthermore, our offer goes beyond technology—we strive to identify and realize the essential values for our society and industry, connecting “seeds and needs.” We generate meaningful innovation with our seeds of technology to overcome our customers’ challenges.
