Resonac Corporation (President and CEO: Hidehito Takahashi, hereinafter referred to as “Resonac”) announced that, effective January 1, 2026, the “Gelpack” brand of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) products—currently marketed by its group company Resonac Techno Service Corporation (President: Takao Yabuki, hereinafter “RTS”)—will be integrated into Resonac’s “Shodex” HPLC product brand*¹. In conjunction with this integration, RTS’s sales and development department functions will be consolidated into Resonac’s corresponding departments, enabling a unified product strategy and further strengthening Resonac’s separation and refining business.
Resonac Group has been developing a diverse range of HPLC columns for nearly five decades, beginning with research into molecular weight measurement and separation technology based on polymer synthesis in 1965. With sales offices in Japan and around the world, we deliver innovative solutions to meet a broad spectrum of analytical needs. Under the “Shodex” brand, Resonac has expanded its portfolio of chromatographic separation products, including HPLC columns. Meanwhile RTS—formerly part of the Hitachi Chemical Group—has developed, manufactured, and marketed similar products under the “Gelpack” brand.
Starting January 2026, Resonac will take over all sales rights and development functions for chromatographic separation and refining products previously managed by RTS including those under the “Gelpack” brand. This integration will unify development and sales operations for those products within Resonac, enabling more efficient and strategic business management. Selected “Gelpack” products will continue to be offered under the “Shodex” brand as sub-brands.
